July 2001 - Pyne Tree Packaging adds new equipment:

Pyne Tree Packaging expands its business capabilities by adding new equipment to its production line. Started in 1994 by the owner, Mark Rath, Pyne Tree Packaging continues to grow, finding new markets and adding new services for the industry. Recently, PTP added several machines to their production line. The Heidelberg and Miller Automatic Die Cutters streamline the production of items like pocket and presentation folders, while lowering costs. PTP also has added a 45 " micro-cut Polar Cutter and a Pocket Folder/Gluer machine, adding capacity and flexibility to the production line.

In order to accommodate the new equipment, Pyne Tree had to expand its plant facilities, adding 4,000 square feet to its plant and new employees to operate the equipment.

Situated just east of Mercer, the capital of Mercer County in Western Pennsylvania, Pyne Tree Packaging is one of the success stories in manufacturing in a state where manufacturing has been in decline since the demise of the steel industry in the 1970's.

Pyne Tree is located just off Interstate Highways I-79 and I-80, with easy interstate access to the Midwest and the East Coast. Pyne Tree is located about 60 minutes by truck from both Erie and Pittsburgh, and about 20 minutes from Youngstown, Ohio. To view PTP's entire line of services and products - click here.
